Marielle Santos McLeod: Incredible Opportunity to Represent Cancer Hope Network with My Hometown
Marielle Santos McLeod, Director of Programs and Advocacy at Cancer Hope Network, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“There’s nothing that excites me more than when all worlds come together! I had the incredible opportunity to represent and share Cancer Hope Network with the fine people of my hometown. I learned some valuable information and research that I cannot wait to share with our mentor community and staff. To top it all off, I got to see my dear NCCN friend, Kara Kenan, outside of the annual CPAT conference.
Among my favorite sessions were discussions on the importance of resistance exercise in cancer care by Ciaran Fairman, PhD. We need more discussions like these. I especially enjoyed the amazing presentation on caregiving in young adulthood by Amanda Kastrinos. It was fantastic to see a caregiver discussion included alongside patient and survivorship talks. Additionally, the presentation on cisplatin-induced hearing loss piqued my interest, and now I’m eager to learn more.
Looking forward to doing it again next year.”
