Alique Topalian: Cancer Con 2025 Might Be My Favorite One Yet
Alique Topalian, Research Scientist- Survivorship and Supportive Services at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Cancer Con 2025 may have been my favorite year yet.
It is always a pleasure to connect with friends, old and new. The new professional track Stupid Cancer has launched is incredible. I love the ability to participate in sessions where I gain experience, both personal and professional. In addition to the opening session, I had the pleasure of presenting on Cancer-Related Cognitive Impairment and strategies to overcome this frustrating symptom.
Dr. Francis Collins gave an incredible presentation and was kind enough to take a moment to hear about my experiences as a survivor and early investigator. Tricia Hernandez and Veronika Panagiotou always help to fill my heart with joy. I love the opportunity to spend time with Katy Donahue and catch up with Matthew Zachary and Karen DeMairo. As always, Chelsea Donahue and Alison Silberman hosted an incredible event!
There are so many more incredible humans I had the privilege of meeting or reconnecting with, I can’t for them all in one post. Know that I am thankful for every one of these conversations. I know together the future of Adolescent and Young Adult cancer survivors is in good hands!”
