Bhavya Durgesh Nandini: Thrilled to Be Selected as One of 28 Fellows For The Second Cohort of the Politics and Diplomacy for Health Fellows Program
Bhavya Durgesh Nandini, Coordinator, Adolescent and Youth Constituency at The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Thrilled to have been selected as one of 28 fellows for the second cohort of the Politics and Diplomacy for Health fellows’ program led by Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm School of Economics and to have spent an incredible week at the masterclass in Sigtuna, Sweden, led by by the brilliant Anders Nordström and Gunilla Carlsson.
The week was filled with deep reflection, open dialogue, and challenge, guided by some of the most respected voices in global health diplomacy.
We explored:
Health and politics with Elhadj As Sy and Alvaro Bermejo
Entrepreneurship and the private sector with The Honorable Mark Dybul, MD, Balram Bhargava, and Johan Rockström
Leadership and windows of opportunity with Joy Phumaphi, Dr Hanan Al Kuwari, and Minghui Ren
Formal and informal decision-making with Magda Robalo and Christian Danielsson
Strategic communication with Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli and Christine McNab
They shared their personal journeys, filled with victories, setbacks, lessons, and courage.
I was deeply honoured to learn alongside a phenomenal group of fellows – Goran Abdulla Sabir Zangana, Malin Parkler, Wang Lili, Floramae Esapebong-Ray, Kate Smith, Lina Balsyte, Isabel Mestres, Clélia-Elsa Froguel, Homoud Algarni, Gabriela García Patiño, Evie Gray, Dr. Nojus Saad, Priya Kanayson, Violeta Canaves, TAKUMA KATO, Will Hall, Rachel Grant, Alegnta Gebreyesus Guntie, Alex Wade, Angela Chang, Ann Touneh Dandridge, Shingai Machingaidze, Eva Turk and Sylvia Penelao Hamata.
Your brilliance, kindness, and commitment are inspiring!
As someone working at the intersection of youth leadership, global health, and diplomacy, I felt both challenged and affirmed.
I’m returning with a full heart, a sharper lens, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Grateful for the brilliant faculty, inspiring fellows, and the chance to be part of this growing community of global health leaders.”
