“Why should oncologist who are not into University/ academic institutions publish scientific papers? I understand those who are in academic jobs need this to SHOW the research done by them for promotion/increments etc.
What’s in it for others? Do vote and discus.
Academic recognition makes up 49% of the motivation, while the joy of writing accounts for 35.5%. Impressing patients follows with 3.6%, and influencing pharma comes in at 11.8%.
Does your patients ask or looks for your H score or publications when he or she decides to take treatment under your care?”
