Amol Akhade: Should oncologist treat own 1st and 2nd degree relatives themselves?

Amol Akhade, a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist and Hemato-oncologist at Suyog Cancer Clinics and Reliance Hospitals shared a post on X:

“Should oncologists treat their own 1st and 2nd-degree relatives themselves?

Or be neutral and leave it to other competent colleagues to make complex decisions?

Should oncosurgeons operate on their own very close relatives?

Or should medical oncologists decide gray zone treatment decisions for their own kins?

Vote and let me know.”
