Amil Družić: I’m starting a new position as HPV and Hepatitis B Action Network – Vice Chair at ECO
Amil Družić, Oncology and Radiotherapy Resident at the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as HPV & Hepatitis B Action Network – Vice Chair at European Cancer Organisation!
There’s no better day to announce this than on the upcoming March 4—International HPV Awareness Day—a day dedicated to raising awareness about preventable cancers caused by HPV.
This role is more than just a title—it’s a commitment to advancing cancer prevention through vaccination, screening, and awareness. HPV and Hepatitis B are responsible for thousands of preventable cancer cases every year, and we have the tools to eliminate them.
At the European Cancer Organisation (ECO), we bring together experts, policymakers, and advocates to turn evidence into action, ensuring that prevention is not a privilege but a universal right.
I look forward to working with incredible colleagues to drive real impact, because no one should suffer from a cancer we can prevent.”
