Alique Topalian: Honored to present my abstract at AACR Scientist – Survivor Program
Alique Topalian, Research Scientist of Survivorship and Supportive Services at University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, posted on LinkedIn:
“Today through the American Association for Cancer Research Scientist – Survivor Program I presented my abstract “Results of a Patient Survivorship and Supportive Services Needs Assessment.”
The purpose of this project is to understand the knowledge cancer patients have of support services, their satisfaction with those services, and what additional services patients desire.
We found that 56.57% of patients were not receiving any supportive services. Supportive services are a crucial part of healing and wellness during the cancer journey, and we need to equip our patients with the best programs possible. I got such great feedback on this work and look forward to publishing our findings. We are currently working on our formal analysis so stay tuned!”
