“The International Myeloma Foundation just announced a major leadership transition. We are grateful to Dr. Brian Durie for 35 years of work and dedication to the IMF, and all his research contributions. Personally, I owe a lot in my career to his generosity.

We will continue to work collaboratively with Myeloma Society, other myeloma organizations, researchers, patients, and industry partners to fulfill our vision and mission. We are thankful that an incredible group of top myeloma researchers will assist and guide us.

I am also thankful to the entire staff of International Myeloma Foundation — you are amazing. Thanks for all your hard work for this great organization dedicated to help myeloma patients worldwide.”

Vincent Rajkumar is a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and Chair for the Mayo Clinic Myeloma, Amyloidosis, and Dysproteinemia Group. He also chairs the Board of directors of The International Myeloma Foundation and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) Myeloma Committee.

His extensive contributions include over 230 peer-reviewed publications, predominantly focusing on multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders. Furthermore, Dr. Rajkumar is a Section Editor for multiple myeloma and related disorders for Leukemia and an Associate Editor for the Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
