“Today, the Ethiopian Society of Hematology and Oncology (ESHO) had the privilege of visiting Haramaya University’s Alibira Cancer Treatment Center in Harar, and it was truly inspiring. The advancements made at the center are exceptional, showcasing a dedicated and skilled team along with a well-designed facility.

The efforts and achievements of the Alibira team are extraordinary, demonstrating their commitment to providing quality cancer care in eastern Ethiopia. Establishing such an efficient center is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the professionals and management involved.

The warm welcome from the hospital staff and administration, highlighted by a delightful coffee ceremony, made our visit even more special. We engaged in multidisciplinary discussions and experience-sharing sessions, which underscored the collaborative spirit of our visit.

Kudos to Alibira Cancer Treatment Center for being a symbol of hope and excellence in cancer care. Their significant achievements and contributions to the community are truly commendable.
