‘Mega Lungs’ helped Luis E. Raez and Gelenis Domingo shed light on the urgency of raising awareness of lung cancer
Luis E. Raez, Medical Director at Memorial Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Memorial Cancer Institute and Memorial Regional Hospital, ‘Mega Lungs,’ in partnership with the American Lung Association, took center stage, showcasing the critical battle against lung cancer in America.
With lifelike representations of cancerous tumors and other respiratory illnesses, ‘Mega Lungs’ helped Luis E. Raez, MD, Chief Scientific Officer and Medical Director of Memorial Cancer Institute and Gelenis Domingo, MD, medical oncologist, shed light on the urgency of raising awareness of lung cancer and fighting other respiratory diseases.
As advocates for lung health, Drs. Raez and Domingo emphasized the importance of awareness, early detection, and taking proactive measures.
Amidst the displays and discussions last week, a resounding message echoed: prevention is key. By abstaining from smoking and promoting a smoke-free lifestyle, we can significantly reduce the risk of developing lung cancer and safeguard the well-being of future generations.
Help us support our mission in turning the tide against lung cancer and ensuring a healthier, brighter future for all. Head to the link below to help support the cause.”
