Patrick Hwu: Rick Scott and Gus Bilirakis have both been unwavering supporters of Moffitt Cancer Center

Patrick Hwu shared a post LinkedIn:

“Senator Rick Scott and Representative Gus Bilirakis have both been unwavering supporters of Moffitt Cancer Center’s mission to prevent and cure cancer. Today, they joined the Moffitt team and biotech industry leaders to tour SperosFL, our global innovation center for science, technology and health care in Pasco County.

During the tour, they visited construction sites for Moffitt’s proton therapy center, research innovation center, and outpatient clinic. Speros aims to bring together multiple disciplines in a way like never before, and will accelerate scientific discovery in cell and gene therapy, immunotherapy and more.

A big thank you to all who joined us this morning! I am so inspired by the momentum around this new campus and the hope it will bring to so many. Together we are positioning Florida as a leader in health and life sciences, and through our collective efforts will save more lives today and tomorrow. ”
