Richard Scolyer: The Australian of the Year Awards ‘Tour of Honour’ South Australia was fabulous
“The Australian of the Year Awards (AOTY) ‘Tour of Honour’ South Australia (SA) over the past few days has been phenomenal for Professor Georgina Long and our partners Greg and Katie!
It was fabulous interacting with established and up and coming brilliant scientists and learn more about their exciting research at both Flinders University and SAHMRI, University of South Australia! Also good to meet with SA Minister for Wellness and Health, Hon Chris Picton.
At the AOTY Luncheon, there were many incredible Aussies including 2023 AOTY Taryn Brumfitt and 2024 SA AOTY winners Tim Jarvis, Meredith Evans, Tiahni Adamson and Rachael Zaltron amongst many others. It was amazing to learn more about their impactful contributions to Australia and beyond and their incredible journeys!
Don’t forget to nominate the many deserving Aussies for 2025 AOTY before 31/7/24.
Massive thanks to Jan Chorley and her excellent team for their super organizational skills and hospitality!”
