Robyn Partin: Great information on how AI is advancing the research in childhood cancer

Robyn Partin, Director of Operations at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, shared a post by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, on LinkedIn, adding:

”Our PI, Kiri Ness, is a world expert on physical function in childhood cancer. This is great information on how AI is advancing the research we do in childhood cancer!”

Quoting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s post:

”Artificial intelligence is critical in improving care for childhood cancer, especially in conducting screenings, tracking a person’s risk for heart failure and creating a patient’s survivorship plan.

‘Machine learning is a tool that can help us better understand what’s going on when we have massive amounts of data,’ Kiri Ness, told Cancer Healthcast in a recent interview. ‘It will improve care because we have such big data. Machine learning is important for all of these small physiologic measures and for vast amount of patient reported data.’

Hear more about how AI is being used to improve care for childhood cancer survivors on the Cancer Healthcast.”
