Bob Li, Australian medical oncologist and physician-scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It was an honor to be invited by the The National Institutes of Health to speak about International R and D at the inaugural Liquid Biopsies Conference. As an NIH R01 funded investigator, I came here with awe and respect for this world-renowned U.S. government institution and the world’s largest public funder of biomedical research.
My highlight was meeting and collaborating with great minds from the NIH and all over the world, including Professor Dennis Lo, one of the founding fathers of the field of liquid biopsy and the 2022 Lasker award winner for his research in cell-free DNA. The enthusiasm for the international movement to cure cancer is palpable, and we are excited by a future propelled by technology and international collaboration.”
