Kimryn Rathmell: They are the future of our field
Kimryn Rathmell, Director of the National Cancer Institute, shared a post on X/Twitter:
”I had the opportunity to speak with trainees and early-career researchers at National Cancer Institute’s CCR Fellows and Young Investigators Colloquium. It was wonderful to connect with these bright young minds—they are the future of our field!
My advice to early-career researchers:
- Take a day away from experiments now and then to re-invigorate ideas and recharge.
- Learn to manage a career in cancer research—from grant writing to team building.
- Pay attention to fabulous keynote presenters—and get to know them!”
