“Everyone at Susan G. Komen is devastated to learn that our dear friend Sheila Johnson passed away this morning from metastatic breast cancer. An Air Force veteran, she lived with MBC for more than 13 years, and was a staunch advocate for building trust in the Black breast cancer community around research and participation in clinical trials. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. To honor Sheila’s legacy, Komen will continue to advocate for and advance breast health equity – for all.”
