“I ride in the Pan Mass to eliminate the premature loss of so many important lives, to stand with our fighters, to illuminate hope, and to serve as a soldier against the audacity of cancer, supporting those in their journey, and all the brave souls in between.
My mom, a woman who’s not only the mom of eight but also a warrior in the truest sense of the word, embodies strength, resilience, and unwavering love. She’s our nourisher, our hugger, our fixer, our chef, and so much more. Despite facing the relentless challenges of cancer, she continues to fight with every ounce of strength and determination she possesses. Her spirit is unbreakable, her resolve unwavering, and her love for life shines brighter than ever.
And my older brother, Rick, the pioneer among us, our inspiring leader, protector, and our secret financier, quietly supporting us in ways only he knew how. His bravery in the face of adversity and the impact that cancer has had at his young age is nothing short of astounding. With each day, he demonstrates what it truly means to fight with courage, grace, dignity, and unwavering positivity.
As for me, having witnessed the dismembering brutality of this barbaric disease, I’ve dedicated my life to finding treatments that are not only more effective but also more friendly to patients. Through my work Agenus and MiNK Therapeutics I’ve been on the front lines of cancer research, committed to minimize its impact and bring better treatment options to those affected.
Beyond my family’s journey, I’ve had the privilege of meeting countless brave fighters—individuals who have made it their mission to blaze a path for future patients, to contribute to science, participate in clinical trials, and challenge convention. These heroes are our greatest force, our most courageous, and our immense catalyst for our fight. I ride for them all.
