University of Global Health Equity announces new partnership with Novartis Global Health
University of Global Health Equity announced on their LinkedIn page:
“We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Novartis Global Health, a global healthcare leader with a purpose to reimagine medicine to improve and extend lives. Our collaboration will focus on building scientific capabilities and improving healthcare access in low-resource settings.
Novartis and UGHE will collaborate to remove barriers to healthcare. This includes capability building, clinical exchanges, and exploring health systems strengthening initiatives.
UGHE’s position as a leading research institute in Rwanda, together with Novartis’ deep understanding of disease pathology, will increase thought leadership in the area of neglected diseases against the backdrop of the ‘triple disease burden’ and the ‘one health’ impact of climate change.
Dr. Joel M. Mubiligi, Ag Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Daniel Seifu, Dean of Research, Innovation, and Quality, signed the MoU on behalf of UGHE. Representing Novartis, Dr. Lutz Hegemann, President Global Health and Sustainability, and Dr. Nicola Lister, Head of Global Medical Affairs, Global Health and Sustainability, signed the MoU.”
