Lisa A. Lacasse: Honored to host a hearing on Capitol Hill alongside US Pharmacopeia discussing ‘What causes drug shortages and how to solve them
Lisa A. Lacasse, President at American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) was honored to host a hearing on Capitol Hill alongside US Pharmacopeia discussing ‘What causes drug shortages and how to solve them.’ Thank you to our panelists, including ACS CAN’s very own Mark Fleury, for sharing their brilliant insights from the front lines of this crisis. Drug shortages are impacting patients all over the country– one in ten cancer patients surveyed who are in active treatment report being affected by this issue, according to one of our latest ACS CAN Survivor Views surveys. Collaborative partnerships are one of the keys to fixing the current issue, preventing future shortages and improving access to critical medicines for all patients. Read more in ACS CAN’s Survivor Views survey.”
