“The nurses of our centre at the international workshop. From February 29 to March 2, 6 nurses from the pediatric oncology, hematology and palliative care departments of the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia participated in the 4th Research Workshop of the Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean Group (POEM Group) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, USA.
Our participants were: Marine Azaryan, Vera Mkhitaryan, Tatevik Baghdasaryan, Lusine Torosyan, Taguhi Hovhannisyan and Maria Aleksandrova (nurses), as well as Shushan Hovsepyan. Other participants came from Pakistan, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Egypt, India and other countries. Nurses are the center at the international workshop.
Within the framework of the workshop, the nurses were divided into groups according to the topics they sent in advance to participate in the courses accompanied by instructors. Courses included knowledge of presentation skills, statistical methods, and tools for conducting studies and research.
On the last day, the nurses of our center presented their thematic presentations, making suggestions and laying the foundation for field discussions.”
