The 1st Global Summit on War and Cancer took place on 14 – 16 December 2023. It was organized by the Institute of Cancer and Crisis and OncoDaily. Renowned healthcare specialists from all over the world came together to discuss cancer issues rising in war-affected areas.

We were honored to have Arman Khachatrian, Head of Innovations Unit of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, as a speaker during the summit where he discussed patient evacuation and healthcare provision in Ukraine during warfare.

Key focuses of his speech were on legislation changes, care providers and the infrastructure supporting patient evacuation and care. He highlighted the major humanitarian help-provider countries and formulated the results of joint efforts in the form of statistical numbers – comparing before and during the war results.
