Applications are open for a new grant, Improving Breast Cancer (BC) Quality of Care via Meaningful Capacity Building in Sub-Saharan Africa – American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)

“Applications are open for our new grant, Improving Breast Cancer (BC) Quality of Care via Meaningful Capacity Building in Sub-Saharan Africa. Developed by the ASCO Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Council expressly for the patients this region, the grant aims to improve the quality of care and help build capacity to address patient needs by supporting innovative projects.
Collectively, up to $1 million (USD) is available to fund these quality improvement projects. Individual projects requesting up to $80,000 (USD) over 24 months will be considered.
Eligibility:
- The institution, principal investigator, and focus of the submission must be based in the following geographies: Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
- While applications must be submitted from the geographies noted above, collaborations with institutions outside of the region are permitted. Please note all partners must have a relevant role and the requesting organization must have a key role in the project.
- Only organizations are eligible to receive grants, not individuals or physician-owned medical group practices.
