Elizabeth F. Franklin: I had the privilege of joining friends from the American Cancer Society at the Mayo Clinic to learn about what is possible in terms of providing cancer care at home

Elizabeth F. Franklin, Head of US Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy, Oncology at Sanofi, shared a post by Arif Kamal, Chief Patient Officer at American Cancer Society, on LinkedIn, adding the following:

“This week I had the privilege of joining friends from the American Cancer Society at the Mayo Clinic to learn about what is possible in terms of providing cancer care at home. It was refreshing to see the possibilities and learn about innovation in action with sites who are currently meeting patients where they are and providing care in a way that fits into their lives.”

Quoting American Cancer Society National Navigation Roundtable (ACS NNRT)’s post:

“So grateful for the leadership of colleagues and friends Cheryl Willman, M.D., Roxana Dronca, M.D., and Alexis Jackson, MSHA at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville who co-hosted with American Cancer Society the second Cancer Care at Home Summit.

More to share soon, but it was a powerful event to bring leaders from across diverse sectors, geographies, and constituencies to brainstorm around the compelling questions left for person-centric, scalable, and safe cancer care delivered in decentralized ways.

Proud to lead a program of work with Shanthi Sivendran MD, MSCR, MBA, Kathleen Goss, Laura Makaroff, Megan Wessel, MPH, Chuck Westbrook, Jennifer Greenwald, Paul Thienprayoon, Katherine Cwiek, Kael Reicin and the entire Patient Support Pillar that reaches across the cancer continuum. We are both investing heavily in cancer prevention and screening, while also growing our partnerships with leading edge organizations in the post-diagnosis spaces.

Our goal is that, whatever the innovation, we are a ready to help ensure equitable access for all.”
