Shreeram Aradhye: I have the privilege of hearing directly from patients and what really matters to them when it comes to their treatment
Shreeram Aradhye, President, Development and Chief Medical Officer at Novartis made the following post on LinkedIn:
“In my role, I have the privilege of hearing directly from patients what it’s like to live with a particular disease and what really matters to them when it comes to their treatment. From a young woman living with lupus, a complex and often misunderstood autoimmune condition that has impacted her life in many ways, to a mother living with the risk of her breast cancer coming back, their insights are invaluable as we seek to bring forward new medicines that could address the outcomes most important to them.
At Novartis, our Commitment to Patients and Caregivers outlines how we’re working together to improve outcomes for patients and change the practice of medicine. Since its launch six years ago, we’ve been marking the anniversary by reporting on the progress against its four pillars.
Our teams take the responsibility to act on this commitment very seriously, and I’m proud of the advancements we’re making. This is only possible because of the trust our patients and their caregivers place in us, as we reimagine medicine, together.”
