Jared K. Burks: I am incredibly proud of the team at FCCIF-NC
Jared K. Burks, Professor and Co-Director of the Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging Core Facility at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am incredibly proud of the team at FCCIF-NC. We collaborated with several outstanding researchers to produce the research supporting two grant submissions. This truly showcases our concept and illustrates the potential within the spatial biology research field.
Congratulations to Akshay Basi and Danielle Stolley on their inaugural publication with the facility! Also glad to finally have a publication with Erin Seeley and Trevor McKee!
In addition to these achievements the work stands out. We developed a pipeline utilizing 17 sections spanning 85 microns, incorporating four different imaging modalities to detect seven distinct types of analytes. This represents a genuine multiplex multi-omics spatial biology pipeline. Even within the framework of this analytical pipeline paper, we uncovered interesting biological insights. I am eager to apply this pipeline to larger datasets to positively impact cancer patients.
Congrats to all the authors: Sammy Ferri Borgogno, Jared K. Burks, Erin Seeley, Trevor McKee, Danielle Stolley, Akshay Basi, Javier Gomez, Basant Gamal, Shamini Ayyadhury, Barrett Lawson, Melinda Yates, Michael Birrer, Karen Lu, and Mok Samuel C.”
