Albert Ananyan: Honored to be a part of the first-ever global Oncothon

Albert Ananyan, Student of Masters of Management Science in Global Affairs at Schwarzman Scholars, shared a post by Oncoheroes Biosciences on LinkedIn:

“Honored to be a part of the first-ever global Oncothon by OncoDaily and Oncoheroes Biosciences on World Childhood Cancer Day. The 24-hour worldwide telethon is dedicated to raising funds to support pediatric cancer research! Join the Oncothon 2024 to support pediatric cancer research and donate here.”

Quoting Oncoheroes Biosciences’s post:

“The Oncothon has officially started, and the first two sessions have left us inspired and moved! In case you weren’t able to join us for the inaugural sessions, here’s a glimpse of the remarkable moments:

Gevorg Tamamyan, editor-in-chief of OncoDaily, extended a warm welcome to our audience, urging everyone to support pediatric cancer research.

During the first session of Oncothon2024Ricardo Garcia and Fernando Goldsztein shared their profound journeys as fathers of children battling medulloblastoma. Fernando emphasized, “As parents of children with cancer, we can never give up, we must keep fighting”, while Ricardo imparted a poignant piece of advice: “Enjoy the moment, because life can change at any moment”.

We were also privileged to hear the stirring accounts of resilience from cancer survivors Albert Ananyan and Richi Garcia Puig. Moderated by Derek Lynch, a dedicated volunteer of the Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation, the discussion delved into life’s trials and triumphs. “Life is full of challenges, but that is its beauty, you’ll never achieve progress in your comfort” remarked Albert when reflecting on his journey. Richi, inspirational director of the Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation, urged fellow survivors and the audience alike to seize life’s opportunities: “find out what your passion is and pursue it no matter what, keep moving forward”.

Don’t miss the following sessions, tune in now to follow the Oncothon.”
