Mukhtasar Malcolm Alkali: This story of King Charles battling with Prostate Cancer serves as a poignant reminder that the struggle against this formidable adversary knows no borders
Mukhtasar Malcolm Alkali, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Medicaid Cancer Foundation, recently shared on X/Twitter:
“EARLY DETECTION, SAVES LIVES!
The urgency to Close The Care Gap becomes not just a call to action but a lifeline for countless individuals facing the harsh reality of cancer.
The diagnosis of cancer brings with it a heavy burden, one that is disproportionately felt by those in low-income communities. Access to proper screening and comprehensive treatment options is a luxury for many in Africa.
This story of King Charles battling with Prostate Cancer serves as a poignant reminder that the struggle against this formidable adversary knows no borders.
The campaign to Close The Care Gap resonates powerfully here. The gap between what is needed and what is available is stark and demands our immediate attention.
To truly Close The Care Gap, African Governments must double their efforts to invest in education, infrastructure, and long-term sustainable solutions.
We as Cancer Advocates, will continue to raise awareness, educate communities, and advocate for an improved access to essential cancer care services.
Join me to be an Advocate.
Mukhtasar M. Alkali.”
