“Coming back home today after an exhilarating series of trips, culminating in Atlanta where I represented St. Elizabeth Healthcare at the American Cancer Society yearly retreat for board leaders and staff. It was a source of immense motivation and inspiration. Hearing powerful stories and witnessing the impact ACS makes daily for patients is a vivid reminder of why we do what we do.
Exciting news ahead! The American Cancer Society is set to revolutionize 2024 with some BOLD initiatives. Under the visionary leadership of CEO Karen Knudsen, and Chief Patient Officer Arif Kamal, we’re pushing boundaries in research, advocacy, and patient support in creative and thoughtful way. And yes, there might be a dash of tech and AI innovations in the mix too – stay tuned!
Fun also to bond w my local team, Sarah Wells, Daniel Hopgood, Hannah Wallace, and Kathleen Bond. You guys make the work we do not feel like work at all.
