Important factors to evaluate the quality of oncological care in LMICs – City Cancer Challenge
City Cancer Challenge made the following post on LinkedIn:
“A recent study, conducted by C/Can, the Institute of Cancer Policy, and the World Health Organization, and published in The Lancet Oncology, identifies important factors to evaluate the quality of oncological care in LMICs. These factors will help hospitals and cancer-control planners in resource-constrained countries to improve the quality of cancer care.
The study recommends that instead of only looking at the number of hospitals, doctors, and nurses, there are other important factors to consider when measuring the quality of oncological care in LMICs. These factors have been identified to assist cancer care providers in identifying areas for improvement.
We would like to thank our supporters, and particularly Bristol Myers Squibb, an independent sponsor of the Quality Cancer Care Indicators (QCCI) project.”
