”At the Society of Interventional Oncology 2024 annual meeting on a MultiD panel with esteem colleagues in IR, surgery, radiation oncology discussing optimal sequence, and candidacy for each thoracic local modality (surgery, SABR, ablation) to optimize thoracic cancer care.
It’s not a one size fits all approach anymore given advances in all specialties. Exciting times for thoracic cancer patients!
As a bonus, I met Henning Willers’s excellent colleague Florian Fintelmann, an interventional radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital who gave a thoughtful talk on collaboration amongst specialists to choose the right modality at the right time between SBRT, surgery, IR ablation!”
