The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer logo for the first World Conference on Lung Cancer
The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) shared a post on X/Twitter:
“In 1978, Laura Palmer designed the IASLC logo for the first World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC). The design features a sword symbolizing Aesculapius (God of Healing), a caduceus from Hermes representing medicine triumphing over lung cancer, and a tracheobronchial tree showcasing the lungs’ lobes.”
