Craig Earle: Canada has a goal of eliminating cervical cancer by 2040
Craig Earle, CEO of Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Canada has a goal of eliminating cervical cancer by 2040. The recent news from British Columbia about the launch of a new self-screening HPV program to help detect cervical cancer sooner brings us one step forward in making this a reality. HPV testing as a primary screening method detects the virus before it can cause cancer and is more accurate. Self-testing makes cancer screening more widely accessible. Improving access to screening and supporting HPV primary screening test are key elements of Canada’s Action Plan for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer. The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer is proud of our ongoing collaboration with British Columbia in this area.
Congratulations on this achievement!”
