Richard Finkel Named to TIME 100 Health List for Advancing Pediatric Neurotherapeutics

“Congratulations to Richard Finkel, director of the Center for Experimental Neurotherapeutics and Endowed Chair in Neurotherapeutics at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, on being named one of the TIME 100 Most Influential People in Health for 2025. This annual list recognizes a community of leaders from across industries and nationalities who are making the world a healthier place in tangible ways.
About 1 in 6 children have some form of neurologic disability, ranging from neurodevelopmental or movement disorders to neuromuscular diseases. In 2020, Richard — a renowned leader in pediatric neurologic disorders — joined St. Jude in 2020 to create our Center for Experimental Neurotherapeutics, which is focused on accelerating clinical applications of treatments for unmet neurological diseases as part of the Pediatric Translational Neuroscience Initiative (PTNI).
