Tanaz Vaghaiwalla, Assistant Professor Of Surgery at The University of Tennessee, shared on X/Twitter:
“When to think about Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma for patients with an incidentaloma:
- Nodules >4cm or growing
- Suspicious features
(high HU, low AW<60%, irregular borders)
- Steroid hormone high levels
- Hereditary syndromes (MEN1, FAP)
Look at stage and imaging.
R0 resection is the only chance of cure.”
