Anant Madabhushi: How AI is shaping the future of precision oncology
Anant Madabhushi, Robert W. Woodruff Professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Emory University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Inspiring discussions at the intersection of AI and Oncology!
At the Emory AI. Health, we had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Kimryn Rathmell, former Director of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), at Emory University today. It was an honour to showcase some of our ongoing AI and Oncology projects, many of which are funded by the NCI.
Our students and trainees presented a diverse range of cutting-edge research, including diagnostic and predictive AI models for breast, lung, and prostate cancer. Engaging with a leader like Dr. Rathmell was truly inspiring, and we are grateful for the opportunity to discuss how AI is shaping the future of precision oncology.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this visit a success! Looking forward to continuing these important conversations and advancing AI-driven healthcare solutions.”
Kimryn Rathmell, Director of the National Cancer Institute, reshared the post on LinkedIn, adding:
“Great to hear so much exciting medical science – a highlight being lunch with these thought leaders. AI. based solutions tackling key issues in cancer.
A pearl for today – we can’t underestimate the amount of extractable data in existing datasets. The analysis of this data is immensely valuable, and keeps evolving. Data sharing is key. Make sure data keeps giving back and living on.”
