Grace McMullen: Another great example of Northern NSW leading innovation and partnership in Radiation Oncology
Grace McMullen, Chief Radiation Therapist at Northern NSW LHD, shared a post by Jotham Bonett, Product Manager – Radiation Therapy at alphaXRT on LinkedIn:
“Another great example of Northern NSW leading innovation and partnership in Radiation Oncology!
The DPS Prominent split shell system will be a key enabler of our stereotactic program and we will also be exploring maskless RT for suitable H and N patients.
We anticipate that this will make a meaningful impact to patient access and patient experience – watch this space.”
Quoting Jotham Bonett‘s post:
“It was an absolute pleasure to join the team at Tweed Valley Hospital alongside Patrick Laing from MacroMedicswhere we had the opportunity to provide staff training on the DSPS-prominent system.
This team is one of the first in Australia and New Zealand to acquire the DSPS-prominent, leading the way in head and neck radiation therapy treatment.
With plans to introduce maskless treatments in the near future, this initiative will significantly enhance the patient experience for head and neck patients across the region, all while ensuring the highest standards of treatment accuracy.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved! I’m excited to see the positive impact this will have on the department and the patients they serve.”
