Giselle Sholler: FDA approval of IWILFIN
Giselle Sholler,
“Our Beat Childhood Cancer Teams research, after 14 years, has led to FDA approval of IWILFIN (DFMO)!! I feel blessed to have walked this journey with the most caring, dedicated, intelligent and persistent people with the unwavering support of the Beat Childhood Cancer Foundation. I feel so many emotions remembering all the children that inspired this work… and focusing on the hope it brings for so many children with rare cancers!!
I am thankful for the FDA and the extensive discussions and guidance through this process, especially Gregory Reaman, to make this possible.
Maya Angelou inspired us with her quote hanging by my desk “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
