“March was Colon Cancer Awareness Month
As this month ends, I want to take a moment to thank everyone again who participated in this year’s Get Your Rear in Gear 5K event. Your energy, dedication, and support mean so much in the fight against colon cancer. Together, we’re raising awareness, honoring those affected, and helping to promote early detection and prevention.
Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths, yet it’s highly preventable with regular screenings and lifestyle awareness. Events like GYRIG are a powerful reminder of what we can achieve as a community when we come together for a cause.
To all the runners, walkers, volunteers, speakers, and donors – thank you for making a difference. Let’s keep the momentum going by continuing to spread awareness and encouraging our loved ones to prioritize their health throughout the year!
