Douglas Flora takes on the role of ACCC President-Elect for 2026
Douglas Flora, Executive Medical Director of Oncology Services at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A Meaningful New Chapter: ACCC Leadership Role.
I’m honored to share that last week at the Association of Cancer Care Centers‘ meeting, I accepted the role of President-Elect for the coming year.
I’ll be joining an exceptional executive board led by our new President, the indefatigable Una Hopkins DNP alongside respected colleagues who inspire me daily: Nadine Barrett, Jorge J. García, and J. Renea Austin-Duffin. Each brings unique perspectives and complementary strengths to the challenges facing cancer care today.
For those unfamiliar with ACCC, we represent nearly 50,000 practitioners across the spectrum of cancer care settings—from community programs to NCI-designated centers and everything between. What unites this diverse membership is a commitment to excellence in multidisciplinary cancer care and a recognition that the most complex challenges require collaborative solutions.
The organization offers an impressive array of resources designed to address the evolving complexities of delivering quality cancer care: national and regional meetings, webinars, publications, white papers, case studies, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and onsite educational programs. These aren’t just professional development offerings—they’re spaces where the collective wisdom of our community takes shape and finds practical application.
If you’re involved in cancer care and haven’t yet connected with ACCC, I encourage you to explore what this community offers. Reach out to learn more about membership and engagement opportunities. I’d welcome the chance to connect with more of you through this work.
More updates to come as this journey unfolds. For now, I’m grateful for this opportunity to contribute to improving cancer care, one conversation and connection at a time.”
