The ANZGOG Annual Scientific Meeting in Canberra – Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation
Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Gynaecological cancers – including ovarian cancer – are diverse and complex diseases that demand a multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary, collaborative response, to change the status quo.
This complexity and collegiality were showcased at the Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG) Annual Scientific Meeting in Canberra last week.
Members of the OCRF team joined over 300 gynae oncology researchers, clinicians and consumers, to learn what’s in the research and clinical trial pipeline across our region.
Despite the breadth and diversity of the challenges, there was a common thread of momentum, hope and progress – including some exciting emerging treatments and approaches currently in trials. Every research project represented another drop in the bucket of knowledge that will bring us to the tipping point of change.
As one presenter said: ‘We are building the evidence for future treatments.’
We came away feeling optimistic and excited, with a sense of urgency about ‘turning on the tap’, so we can accelerate the pace of change.”
