Yelena Bisharyan: Reflecting on the past few years leading City of Smile, USA
Yelena Bisharyan, Director Of Business Development at Harvard University, shared a post on Facebook:
“In honor of International Childhood Cancer Day, I am reflecting on the past few years leading City of Smile USA and feeling immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished for children battling cancer in Armenia.
With the support of our generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and tireless partners, we’ve been able to:
- Provide life-saving medical treatments and support to young cancer patients in Armenia.
- Fund critical medical equipment and supplies for the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
- Launch psychosocial support programs to help children and their families navigate the emotional challenges of cancer.
- Establish long-term partnerships with Armenian healthcare institutions to improve pediatric oncology care.
- Support the opening of the first Pediatric Palliative Care Unit in Armenia, ensuring compassionate care for young patients and their families.
Every child deserves a fighting chance, and I am grateful to be part of a community that believes in making that possible. Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission. Together, we bring hope and healing.
