“International Childhood Cancer Day 2025.
Message from the President of AIEOP – Angela Mastronuzzi:
‘Today, on this special day, we rally around all the children and adolescents who are fighting against cancer, their families and the doctors, researchers and volunteers who work with dedication every day to offer them a better future.
Our commitment does not stop: as AIEOP, we work to ensure that every child in Italy receives accurate diagnoses, innovative treatments and uniform assistance, wherever they are. In this journey, FIEOP (Italian Foundation for Pediatric Hematology and Oncology) is a precious resource for us, as it supports all AIEOP projects.
Thanks to donations, FIEOP:
- Ensures a precise and safe diagnosis, financing the centralization of histological and biological samples and developing a platform to track them and quickly access reports.
- Supports research, covering the start-up and management costs of non-profit clinical trials, which are essential for finding more effective treatments.
- Supports assistance, to ensure quality treatments close to home.
- Promotes training, organizing conferences, courses and meetings to update and train professionals in the AIEOP network.’
