The ICR is proud of our award-winning apprenticeship programme for aspiring laboratory research technicians.

In partnership with Tiro and supported by a £1m grant from the Wellcome Trust, our initiative is designed to:

Provide apprentices with hands-on experience and career development opportunities.
Create a more inclusive and diverse environment within the scientific community.
Highlight the vital role of scientific research technicians.

Our apprentices are working closely with local schools and attending and presenting at technical conferences to spotlight technical career paths in research.”
