Matthew Robinson: Exploring an AI Driven Oncology Idea
Matthew Robinson, Academic/Specialised Foundation Doctor Barking at Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Exploring an AI Driven Oncology Idea – Looking for Technical Collaborators.
I’m in the early stages of exploring solutions that could improve clinical trial recruitment for patients with cancer that incorporate AI and genomics.
One major challenge in delivering precision oncology is matching patients to relevant clinical trials, especially when it comes to precision medicine and targeted therapies. Many eligible patients miss out on trials simply because the process can be slow, fragmented, and not personalised to their genomic data.
At this stage, I am looking to connect with people who have expertise in:
– Machine Learning AI (especially in healthcare and genomics)
– Software Engineering (Python, cloud computing, API development)
– Bioinformatics Genomic Data Science
I would love to discuss it with others at the beginning of their academic careers who are interested in the intersection of oncology, AI, and clinical trials. If you have experience in this space or know someone who does, please reach out. Equally, if there are existing options providing these solutions, I’d like to hear about them.”
