Patients are not part of the Health Policy Decision-Making process. Obviously politicians are, but also doctors, hospitals, nurses, insurers, industry, physiotherapists, … Patients are not. Sometimes we are informed, sometimes consulted, but this is not systematic, there are no negotiations, there is even no formal committee or process to integrate the patient voice. We stand on the sidelines, watching how others decide about us, with their limited knowledge and zero experience. Time for change.”
