“2024 proved what I’ve always believed: Grassroots health promotion saves the public health.
From registering my NGO to expanding HIV outreach across 5 states in Nigeria, this was the year local impact met global recognition.
Key moments that shaped my impact:
- Registered HealthForAll Initiative For Community Health after 4 years of groundwork.
- Led HIV outreach, engaging 500+ individuals in Nigeria.
- Recommended HIV policies to the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Vanguard News.
- Launched a virtual event to support families living with HIV in Nigeria through the International AIDS Society as an independent affiliated event.
- Appointed as a Council Member for Art in Health.
- Designed and launched a project, ‘Clean Hands For All,’ in response to the cholera outbreak in Nigeria across Ondo, Kwara, and Lagos State.
- Appointed as a Youth Representative of My NGO as a member of The World Hepatitis Alliance
- Got a virtual scholarship to attend Conference on Liver Disease in Africa (COLDA) 2024
- Got selected for Youth Dialogue 10.0 at the former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo’s Library, as a result of my passion for health promotion interventions in governance processes.
- Represented my NGO to formulate Climate Adaptation Plan in Ondo State.
- Coordinated liver cancer awareness Month and World Hepatitis Testing Week Interventions across grassroots communities in Nigeria.
- Enlightened Ondo State community on the significance of Hepatitis Testing in Nigeria through the Futa Radio, 93.1FM.
- My HIV advocacy was recognized in the global community by OncoDaily.
- Got a LinkedIn premium scholarship from Black Sisters in STEM to elevate my career in public health.
Looking ahead, 2025 will be about expanding my health initiatives globally while deepening local impact. Strengthening partnerships across grassroots communities, continuing my fight against HIV and viral hepatitis.
To every community member, volunteer, and organisation who believed in my vision – from Nigeria to the global world – your support made 2024 transformative.
It is time to show that health promotion is the foundation of public health.
See you in 2025.”
