Antonio M. Grimaldi: Next Generation Sequencing diagnostics will soon be available at San Giovanni Addolorata Hospital, Benevento
Antonio M. Grimaldi, Director of U.O.C. Oncology at AORN San Pio, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What did we find under the 2024 Christmas tree? A fantastic gift..!
Thanks to the Strategic Management of our Company, led by Dr. Maria Morgante, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) diagnostics will soon be available, which not only offers greater diagnostic reliability than previous techniques, but also makes it possible to analyze very large regions of the genome by sequencing.
This will make it possible to identify the most precise molecular targets by which to fight neoplasms with biological drugs with a “key-key” effect, guaranteeing cancer patients the best available therapy.
Today all national and international guidelines recommend the use of NGS technologies for the molecular diagnostics of solid tumors and through the availability of this technology in our company, patients in Benevento will no longer need to “migrate” to other centers, both regional and extra-regional, but will be able to complete the diagnostic and therefore therapeutic process, practically under the house.
What a beautiful gift under the tree, what an incredible Christmas..!”
