Chitkala Kalidas: Upcoming initiative to enable greater inclusion of African countries in multinational cancer clinical trials

“I had the honor of representing Bayer at the International Cancer Coalition (ICC) round table at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore. This coalition, chaired by the Hon. Kevin Rudd and Mr. Stefan Oelrich, is committed to being a platform for pre-competitive multi-stakeholder collaboration on topics that would enhance equitable cancer care. I am excited to embark on the coalition’s upcoming initiative to enable greater inclusion of African countries in multinational cancer clinical trials by leveraging sound learnings from infectious disease trials in Africa as well as the conduct of clinical trials in countries that can serve as relevant case studies including India and Brazil. These activities bring Bayer’s vision of Health for All to life. I am proud to be a part of a company that cares deeply about this topic.
