Arif Kamal: Caregivers are central to a cancer patient’s journey
Arif Kamal, Chief Patient Officer for the American Cancer Society, posted the following on LinkedIn:
“Finances should never get in the way of accessing high-quality cancer care—but more times than not, this is the case.
Caregivers are such an important part of a person’s cancer experience and often face their own set of barriers. At the American Cancer Society, we are devoted to reducing suffering not just for people with cancer, but also for their loved ones.
Meaningful relationships are at the core of our work, and we’re honored to support the Patient Advocate Foundation with this vital initiative that will help provide relief for hardworking caregivers.
Learn more and please share with those who may benefit.”
