“The launch of the “Coalition of Cancer Champions”
As cancer survivors, we have a unique and powerful voice . Having faced the disease first hand, our advocacy goes far beyond statistics and scientific papers —it embodies actual lived experience, emotional resilience, and a purpose driven commitment to creating change.
Our role as advocates is vital, not only for raising awareness but for shaping policies, improving patient care, and inspiring hope in others.
We have the power to transform our Personal Struggles into Collective Action.
We did just this on Sunday 24th November 2024, when we launched our Coalition of cancer Champions (C3). Our personal battles are driving a collective cause. We will transform cancer care in Nigeria.
Our advocacy journies began with sharing our stories—frank stories that reveal the true realities of cancer treatment, the huge emotional and psychological toll, and the challenges of navigating our broken healthcare system.
Our vulnerability is a powerful tool because it humanizes the experience of cancer, moving it far beyond clinical definitions and medical report and highlighting the emotional, financial, and social costs of the disease.
